Emergency Response

Vision: Provide life-saving assistance to affected communities during disasters, conflicts and epidemics.

Responding to drought and climate change and delivering urgent humanitarian relief to those who need it most are some of our strongest thematic approaches. The right to receive humanitarian assistance, and to offer it, is a fundamental humanitarian principle which should be enjoyed by all persons and communities affected by nature and man-made. As an organization, we recognize our obligation to provide humanitarian assistance when there is a need for the communities in which we are working.

Our Approach

Preparedness, Response, Relief, Recovery, Coordination

The prime motivation of our disaster response is to alleviate human suffering amongst those least able to withstand the stress caused by disaster.  When we give humanitarian aid it is not a partisan or political act and should not be viewed as such. Our activities include:-

  1. Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans, conduct risk assessments, and establish early warning systems.
  2. Response: Mobilize resources, deploy teams, and provide humanitarian aid during emergencies.
  3. Relief: Provide immediate assistance, such as food, shelter, and medical care, to affected populations.
  4. Recovery: Support long-term recovery efforts, including rehabilitation and reconstruction.
  5. Coordination: Collaborate with other NGOs, governments, and UN agencies to ensure effective response.
